and I am currently the president of the Veterans Resource Group also known as the VRG.

The Veterans Resource Group is a group of veterans and non veterans as well.

We're just over a year old and we got together to foster relationships,

make a mark in the community around this as well.

Hi my name is Laura Tyson. I am the DISH Corporate Travel Manager.

This last year I joined the Veterans Resource Group

and I am on the leadership team on the print and publishing committee.

And I help volunteer and support that other team members as well.

But we do have events on site. We had an event in the Meridian cafe for Veterans Day

as well as we did go out and we worked at the Children's Hospital

participating in a five K run as the course marshall.

We've got some different ideas but a huge piece of it is really

bringing forward volunteers who can participate in these events as well.

Some of the things we'd like to be involved with is help the veteran this transitioning

help them get their resume from a military viewpoint over to a civilian viewpoint.

We're starting to do things at job fairs, go out and try to make an impact on that.

And help those guys with that transition.

And I just want to say thank you to our DISH leadership, our DISH community,

and all the other participants in the Veterans Resource Group for making this possible

because I do think we have the ability to positively impact our community.
