Dress for Success
When it comes to interviews, first impressions matter. It’s essential to show up dressed in business casual attire that reflects both professionalism and readiness for a client-facing role. You’re interviewing for a sales position, so think about how you would want to be perceived if you were meeting a potential client. Avoid overly casual clothing—opt for polished and professional attire to make a strong first impression.
Bring an Updated Resume
In addition to your professional appearance, bring along a hard copy of your updated resume. Even though you already submitted it online, having a printed version shows preparation and organization. Make sure your resume highlights your achievements. Although it’s great to share any related work, no experience is required for this role and you will be trained to gain all the necessary skills.
Don’t Hide Your Energy and Enthusiasm
Olivia says one of the top things her recruiters look for is enthusiasm. So, show your excitement for the opportunity and demonstrate that you have the drive to succeed in a sales environment. When candidates lack energy or enthusiasm, it’s an immediate red flag. Our sales teams work in high-energy and fast-paced environments, and interviewers are looking for individuals who have that spark.
Showcase Your Ambition and Motivation
Uncapped commission is one of the many highlights of joining our sales team. This means the more you sell, the more you earn. Olivia emphasized that this is the perfect opportunity for an individual with a strong need to achieve. We are looking for “candidates who can talk about their ambitions and how they are driven to succeed,” she explains. Mention specific goals you have for your career, or metrics you aim to hit, whether it’s reaching a specific income level or becoming the top performer on your team. Hiring managers want to see that you are not only capable of selling, but that you have the ambition to become a top performer.
“The hiring managers and recruiters constantly tell me they want candidates who are motivated. They’re looking for candidates who can talk about their ambitions and how they are driven to succeed."
