I was really interested in Sling TV and how it was competitive with some of the large streaming platforms. The combination of working for a new exciting company and moving to Denver is what brought me to DISH.

I get to work with huge databases and make analyses from that information. My manager is putting a lot of information and responsibility in my hands. I am really enjoying taking what I learn in the classroom and using it to real world applications.

Most of my days start with a stand up meeting or a check in to get me ready for my day. These meetings help me plan actions items for the day as well as set expectations for my work. Then I spend the rest of my day sifting through data for my project or in meetings to stay up to date with what my team is working on.

My typical day starts with seeing what meetings I have on my calendar and opening and responding to any emails. Then, I always check in with my manager and mentor and ask them any questions I have regarding my project. My day is full of meetings with different members of my team, researching for my final project and learning from my department.

In the morning, I walk over to my mentor's desk to ask about the outline for the day and share my progress on the project. Then, I attend the daily standup meeting at 9:15 am. At around noon, I and the other interns in my building have lunch and sometimes we hit the ping pong table. After lunch, I get back to work and attend any scheduled meetings during the day. The day ends with preparing a demo or report of my task or planning for the next day.
